About
Every glyph is a list of lit segments on one fixed grid: two bars across the top, two across the middle, two across the bottom, four uprights and four diagonals into the centre. That is the smallest grid that spells A to Z as well as 0 to 9, and the one nearly every real sixteen-segment display has used.
The cell is a lens with pointed ends, after F. W. Wood's 1910 patent for an illuminated shipboard signal. Points meeting at a node face each other across one even gap, at a corner, a T or the centre cross alike.
Like the hardware, it has no lowercase, and some characters are as close as they are on a real display: S and 5 light the same segments. Context tells them apart.

Each character has an unlit twin: only the segments it leaves dark. Set a line twice in the same place, once plain and once with Unlit in a dimmer color, and the dark cells show behind the lit ones.
